About this Book

  1. This is my first book. Well, I've read a book before, but this is the first one I've written. And, so this is a stretch for me. Keep in mind, I'm a former math teacher and current technology guy. So, finding my writing voice continues to be a journey in itself.
  2. I'm not sure this is really even a book. It's more like a process of me dumping my feelings and my experiences onto a table and the trying to stack them into piles in some way that has meaning.
  3. I am still deciding who is my audience. My original audience was strictly myself. But, then early on, I felt the desire to give lessons to my kids (and even my grandkids who don't exist). I wanted them to know not just the facts about me, but be able to look inside my soul and know what I consider important in living a life. But, as I started to write it, I also started to think about others that have been impacted by Cancer and really anyone that has suffered. If this can help anyone find a laugh, peace, or a perspective that warms their heart, I want to share.
  4. This is a rough draft! I like to dump thoughts quickly. I then revise and expand on ideas later.
  5. I'm not as dumb as my spelling and grammar make me look. Sometimes my mind and my fingers don't stay in sync. So warning: Their maybe lotz of misstakes.
  6. I need your help. I would love for you to add comments on the blog about what you like, what confused you, or what offends you. I would love your constructive feedback on how to make the stories better. I would love your proofreading skills. I would love your ideas on what to add to the book.
  7. I may not finish this book. I suddenly find myself with so much to say and so much to do and the hard realization that all our time is limited.

  4. It’s inspiring to see someone pour their experiences and feelings into writing so honestly. Your approach of sharing lessons for your kids and others really adds a personal touch. It reminds me of how discovering meaningful content, whether in books or through platforms like fmovies film service, can shape our perspectives and provide both entertainment and reflection. I appreciate your openness and the raw honesty in your draft—it makes the journey feel real. Looking forward to seeing how your story evolves with future revisions!

  5. Beautifully raw and sincere writing. You can really feel the emotion in how you’re shaping your memories and experiences into something meaningful. It reads like a personal conversation with the reader — reflective, human, and quietly powerful. There’s aMelody Chill vibe in the way you’re letting thoughts flow without forcing perfection. That honesty is what makes people connect. Keep writing — your voice is already stronger than you think.
